It doesn't get any easier!

The Armadale Stellar Devils have had a good week, surprising most people with a strong victory at home last Friday against Belle Vue Colts and then scoring a very creditable 40 with a weakened team down at Plymouth. This Friday's home match against table-topping Leicester Lion Cubs is obviously another very tough one and it will close the Devils' season.

They climbed off the bottom of the table with that excellent home win last week but unfortunately they are back down again due to losing at Plymouth. They are just a point behind Plymouth but will need a win to pass them in what is the final National Development League match of the season.

Josh Embleton's great performance last week had a lot to do with the win so he is looking for a repeat. He says 'We were on it from the start last week and that's what we should have been doing all year. We've struggled at the start of matches, myself included, in heat 1, so last week we knew what we needed to do and we did it. I knew I needed to be sharper so that's why I came up to get some laps in the week before.

'We are not in the playoffs but I and the rest of the boys are still here to win meetings like Friday. I'm never gonna show up and think we have no chance of winning I always want to win and this week's is the last one of the season so let's go win it.'

Leicester have already begun their Playoff matches but they will also want to record a victory on Friday. Star men are the Thompson twins who also race in Leicester's Championship side, and former Monarch Connor Coles, but they have youthful talent throughout. For Devils, Lewis Millar returns to cover for the injured Kyran Lyden but Josh Embleton who missed the Plymouth match is expected to be fit.
