Devils Complete With Lawson

There will be another familiar face on track at Friday afternoon's Press and Practice as the Stellar Devils are delighted to announce that William Lawson will fill the vacant team spot completing the line-up for the season ahead.

Lawson is of course a former Premier League winning number 1 and World Under 21 finalist and his experience will be a great boost to the rest of the squad. This means that three of the 7 Devils for the year ahead will be Scotland born and bred, and with the Monarchs Speedway Academy in full swing it is a number that is hoped will increase as the years progress.

This will not be Lawson's first foray with the Devils as the Perthshire man was a Conference Trophy winner in the previous incarnation of the Devils back in 2005 alongside a couple of guest spots at the tail of last season.

Lawson's job this year will be to lead from the front while also passing on his experience to the younger members of the team. All are looking forward to seeing him line-up in heat 1 in 7 short days when the Berwick Bullets visit Armadale Stadium to kick off a big year ahead with tickets on sale now.

Prior to that though is the Press and Practice session this afternoon with stadium gates opening at 1.30pm, then it's onto Deer Park Country Club Livingston where the Stellar Devils will be in attendance alongside the Monarchs team in what has become the very popular season launch night.
