British Speedway's governing body, the British Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA), has announced that the British season has been placed on hold.

Following Stellar Devils announcement confirming the postponement of all pre-season events and the Harrisons Ford Scottish Open Championship, it has now been confirmed that the British Speedway season, in its entirety, will not commence until at least 15th April.

The Board of Directors of the BSPA met today (Tuesday 17th March) to confirm this decision due to the ongoing coronavirus situation. The Board, in conjunction with the Speedway Control Bureau, will continually review the latest government advice as to establish when the 2020 season can commence safely.

No speedway racing will take place in the Premiership, Championship, National Development League or in any other form until at least 15th April with the possibility of this period of inactivity being extended further pending the development of the current situation.

Stellar Devils promotion will continue to update fans as more news becomes available and will announce a date for the Season Launch Show and opening match of the season in due course.

Until this time, Stellar Devils wish to thank all supporters for their continued patience and wish for the safety and health of all throughout this challenging period.
