Stellar Devils promotion have been closely monitoring the situation regarding the coronavirus and have now made some difficult decisions regarding the start of the season.

Following the developments of the weekend, and superseding the update released on Friday, this week's Season Launch Show and practice session will not take place as scheduled and will be rescheduled once the situation becomes clearer.

Tickets for the Season Launch Show will remain valid for the rescheduled event, with the date to be announced in due course.

In accordance with the latest advice of the Scottish Government, the promotion have also taken the decision to postpone the Harrisons Scottish Open Championship, meaning the 2020 season will not start in March.

The promotion has held back making rider announcements for the Championship during the recent uncertainty.

It is currently the intention that the 2020 season at Armadale Stadium will now start with the Stellar Devils fixture scheduled for Friday 3rd April, in line with other major sports in the UK currently scheduled to restart that weekend.

However, as the situation changes on an almost hourly basis, the promotion will continue to review the latest advice and will release further statements when available.

It is disappointing to have to postpone events for any reason but with current circumstances it is believed that this is the correct course of action.

The Club would like to thank supporters for their patience and hope all will turn out in numbers when the season does get underway.

The most important thing at this time is the health and safety of all and the Club hopes that everyone will look out for each other during this challenging period.
