Armadale Stellar Devils have boosted the middle order of the 2020 team with the signing of Danny Phillips.

Middlesborough-born Phillips will bring strong National Development League experience to the side as he enters his 8th season at this level.

Danny rode to a 6.36 average for Belle Vue Colts last season alongside competing for Newcastle in the Championship.

The 23 year-old racer first rode motocross from the age of five before moving across to speedway at the age of 15 and is keen to progress, "I want to improve, I aim to race internationally in the future.

"I am really looking forward to joining the Devils. Having guested a couple of times for the Monarchs in the past I thought the management were really professional and I want to be a part of it."

Danny believes that having Armadale as a home track will push him on,

"I like the track and the home advantage will help me to develop. The crowd is great and I can't wait to get started."

There is now only one place to fill in the Stellar Devils team and talks have taken place with two riders to fill the final slot. Unfortunately neither has been able to commit to the task so the place remains open and available at present.

Armadale Stellar Devils 2020 team so far: Mason Watson, Lewis Millar, Nathan Greaves, Leon Flint, Gregor Millar, Danny Phillips.
