The Stellar Devils spring back into action on Friday night as they welcome the Mildenhall Fen Tigers to Armadale in National Development League action.

The Devils are still looking to get off the mark points wise this season and this looks like another tough one ahead as the Fen Tigers are reigning champions having clinched the 2021 title in a 22-point romp at Armadale back in October.

Only 2 of that Fen Tiger visiting team remain though in the form of number 1 Jason Edwards and his riding partner in heat 1 Sam Bebee.

Edwards is of course one of the hottest prospects in the UK just now and is no stranger to fans of Edinburgh speedway having guested for the Monarchs numerous times last year and twice already this year with great success.

Backup to Edwards will come in the form of Berwick man Greg Blair who steps in for James Shanes who rides in an international grass track competition.

Elsewhere former Kent man Alex Spooner and Jack Kingston make up the middle order the later returning to this level of the sport after a 6-year gap.

At reserve it is Josh Warren and Luke Muff that fill out the line-up, Warren showing he could be a real coup with an impressive start to the season while Muff has previous Armadale experience also.

It has been a quiet start to the season for the Fen Tigers with only 1 league match raced that being a 9-point defeat at Leicester so both teams will look to break that duck on Friday.

For the Devils it is closer to a full line-up than appeared for the recent poor performance at Belle Vue. William Lawson and Gregor Millar return to the line-up although George Rothery still is on the side-lines rider replacement allowing Danny Phillips, Gregor Millar and reserve pair Josh Embleton and Gregor Millar to fill the void.

The new averages see a couple of line-up shuffles with Gregor and Josh Embleton swapping places Embleton in the reserve spot and Gregor Millar into the main body of the team.

Elsewhere William Lawson and Danny Phillips swap places also with Lawson no in possession of the number 1 race jacket.

So, a tough night in store for the Devils once again as they look to start moving up the table and get some points on the board.

Tapes-up is at 7.30 with tickets still available alongside pay at the gate as an option, the match will also be live streamed on EM:TV for those unable to attend.

Friday night is speedway night….. see you there!
