Team Speedway returns to Armadale Stadium this Friday for the first time since October 2019 when the Armadale Stellar Devils race against the Berwick Bullets in a National Development League match. For the Devils it is a return for them after a 15 year absence!
These two teams met at Berwick last Saturday in the first match of the season, a 50-40 win for the Bullets. These matches, and next week's at Armadale, are being raced without crowds, following which it should be possible for fans to return. Friday's match will be streamed via the EMTV Service on Monarchs' website.
Good news for the home support is that 17 year old Gregor Millar will be fit to resume after crashing heavily at the starting gate down at Berwick in his first ride. Team manager Alan Budzynski (who is also Gregor's grandad) said "Gregor's leg seemed fine on Sunday but he was suffering on Monday so went for a check-up. Now he's back at work and can't wait for Friday night."
The Devils' new skipper is Nathan Greaves. He was happy with the team spirit and performance in the opening match and added "I'm grateful to have the captaincy and the number 1 race jacket and the first job is to stay there. I haven't had that much experience in my short career, but I have a little bit more than most in the Devils pits so anyone I can help I will, and hopefully we will have some silverware at the end of the year."

Friday 7th May: Stellar Devils v Berwick Bullets (National Development League), 7:30pm
