Armadale Devils are gearing up for their return to action in the 2020 National Development League.

Plans have continued to develop since the announcement of the return of the Devils, including plans of who will line up in the team.

Announcements will begin to flow in the near future but before they do, Devils promoter John Campbell has taken the opportunity to set out the ethos behind this new venture, "I am a true believer in the National Development League as a platform for giving young speedway talent an opportunity to develop and then progress onto the higher levels of the sport.

"The Devils will embrace this fully with an exciting line up of young riders, many of whom are just setting out on their speedway journey and have been searching for their big break. They may take some time to find their feet but the opportunity is there for them to progress to become professional speedway riders."

As an experienced promoter, John is aware of the challenges ahead, "I am very excited by the prospect of watching our young Devils progress over the course of the season. The early matches may prove challenging but I find it is one of the greatest joys in speedway to watch a rider improve and develop. I am sure this is a view shared by many Monarchs supporters and I am certain they will fully and enthusiastically support the ethos of the Devils."

This ethos of developing new talent will extend to off-track activities also with many opportunities for supporters to get involved John continued, "Speedway clubs across the country are backed by dedicated volunteers who give their time freely for the good of the sport. This is true no where more so than at Armadale with a loyal band of helpers assisting the Monarchs who will assist the Devils also.

"The launch of the Devils will see new opportunities for supporters to get involved in a variety of roles. The lighter schedule of the Devils offers a great chance to dip a toe in the water to help out with what goes on behind-the-scenes in speedway without committing initially to the more extensive schedule that the Monarchs undertake."

Details of ways that you can assist and get involved with the Devils will be circulated in the coming weeks.

Campbell concluded, "The build up to a blockbuster 2020 season at Armadale Stadium is now getting going. I am certain it will be a great year of action for both the Monarchs and Devils. Keep an eye out for Devils team announcements coming very soon."
